Preakness events

The 127th running of the Preakness Stakes is May 18. A number of events are planned to lead up to race day. Here are today's events, all at Rash Field in the Inner Harbor:

BB&T Balloon Festival: Live music, amusement rides, concessions and a Beer & Wine Garden. 4 p.m.

St. Veronica's Steel Drum Band. 5 p.m.

Hot-air balloon launch. 6 p.m.

O'Malley's March (Celtic rock). 7:30 p.m.-9 p.m.

BalloonGlow: More than two dozen hot-air balloons launch and "glow" above Baltimore. 9 p.m.
