Warschawski announces hiring of two executives

Warschawski Public Relations announced that Denise Kitchel joined the agency as a junior vice president. The Mount Washington-based company also announced the appointment of Nicole Nichols as an associate.

Kitchel, the former director of marketing for Atlanta-based Duffey Communications, will be responsible for public relations and marketing strategy and will help steer agency growth. Nichols will have responsibility for media relations, marketing and public affairs. She was formerly an account executive with Eisner Petrou & Associates.

Strom to focus on media with Bonnie Heneson

Bonnie Heneson Communications named Jessica Strom a junior account executive and media specialist. She will be responsible for client publicity, writing for client publications and assisting in the development and implementation of projects and special events. Prior to coming to the Owings Mills-based marketing and advertising agency, the Goucher College graduate was traffic coordinator for BrannBaltimore.

Banking and finance

Forsythe, Dickerson named at 1st Mariner

1st Mariner Bank promoted Brian Forsythe to vice president of underwriting and appointed Erin Dickerson as assistant vice president and customer sales center manager.

Forsythe will manage the credit division of 1st Mariner Mortgage and will be responsible for setting policy and procedures for mortgage underwriting. Formerly with United Guaranty Residential Insurance Co., he is a University of Maryland, College Park graduate and resides in Anne Arundel County. Dickerson, formerly with the Columbia Bank, is a University of Baltimore graduate and will be responsible for call center expansion, hiring and training of staff and maintaining a favorable sales environment.

Union Memorial names Ashby asst. vice president

Union Memorial Hospital announced the appointment of Pamela Lewis Ashby as assistant vice president for human resources. She will oversee human resources administration for the Waverly area MedStar health care facility. A law graduate of the University of Maryland, the Laurel resident was previously with Greater Southeast Community Hospital in Washington.

Hyatt Regency appoints social catering manager

The Hyatt Regency Baltimore appointed Tami Scully social catering manager. She will be responsible for weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, proms and other social events at the Inner Harbor hotel. A graduate of Tulane University, the Baltimore resident had been the hotel's front office manager and executive housekeeping manager.
