Alleluias singers marking 31 years with repast, concert

The Alleluias, an interdenominational group of Christian singers, will celebrate their "30+1 Reunion" with a banquet tomorrow and a concert at 6 p.m. Sunday at Bethel Baptist Church, 4261 Montgomery Road, Ellicott City. The concert's theme is "Experiencing God."

Since its founding 31 years ago, the group has presented concerts in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Ohio and Delaware, and made a two-week tour of Australia in 1983.

Elaine Everhart, music director at Bethel Baptist Church, now directs the Alleluias.

West Friendship church's yard sale is tomorrow

St. James United Methodist Church in West Friendship will hold its third Community Yard Sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. tomorrow. Plants, baked goods and sub sandwiches will be for sale.

The church is on Route 99, near Route 32.

Sunday session to examine issues caregivers face

Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Columbia will sponsor a workshop on the emotional issues involved in being a caregiver from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Owen Brown Interfaith Center, 7246 Cradlerock Way, Columbia. Social worker Molly Safren will lead the discussion.

After a short break, a representative from the Howard County Office on Aging will give a presentation on resources and services available to Howard County residents.

Admission is free. Everyone is welcome.

Friars to celebrate Mass of Healing tonight

The Conventual Franciscan Friars of St. Joseph Cupertino Friary will offer a Mass of Healing in the presence of a major relic of St. Anthony of Padua at 7:30 p.m. today.

There will be an opportunity to be prayed over by a priest and offer intentions after Mass.

The friary is at 12290 Folly Quarter Road, near Glenelg.

`Fiddler' to be presented tomorrow at high school

Columbia Jewish Congregation will present Fiddler on the Roof: A Musical Review at 8:30 p.m. tomorrow at Oakland Mills High School in Columbia. The venue has been changed to accommodate a larger audience.

The production is a fund-raiser for the congregation's Ed Padow Cultural Arts Fund.

Tickets are $12 in advance; $18 at door. Children pay $10 in advance; $15 at door.
