Northeast High's Dionysus Club to present four one-act plays

Northeast High School's Dionysus Club will wind down its theater season with a final production of one-act plays at 7 p.m. tomorrow in the Eagles auditorium, 1121 Duvall Highway.

The play bill includes four plays directed by drama club members. Two of the plays were written by the directors.

The evening will feature: The Hypocritical Oafs, a story about an "operating" room, written and directed by Greg Poling; It's Your Lucky Date, a game show spoof, written and directed by Bryan Dalzell and Dana Lowman; a new take on Shakespeare's famous lovers, Modern Day Juliet & Romeo, directed by Amanda Griffith and Angela King; and a fractured fairy tale, Rapunzel Uncut, directed by Bryan Minnick.

Church to hold auction to aid outreach projects

Jenkins Memorial Church, 133 Riviera Drive, will hold an auction to benefit church outreach programs starting at 4 p.m. tomorrow.

Admission is $2. Food, music and door prizes are included in the cost.

Auction organizers have rounded up many donated items, including gift certificates for dinners and shows, savings bonds, haircuts, manicures, pedicures and vacation trips.

All items to be auctioned will be on display.

Cub Scout pack, church to hold spring flea market

Cub Scout Pack 478, sponsored by Community United Methodist Church, will hold a spring flea market from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. tomorrow behind the Riviera Beach fire hall, 8506 Fort Smallwood Road.

Proceeds from the event will help pay for the pack's family camping trip to Patapsco State Park next month.

Spaces are available for $10 each. The event will be held rain or shine.

`Antique Man' to visit Kiwanis Club fund-raiser

The Mountain Road Kiwanis Club will present a visit from "The Antique Man of Fells Point," from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. May 18 at Community United Methodist Church, 8680 Fort Smallwood Road.

Antiques and collectibles will be appraised for $5 an item, with a two-item limit per person. The event will raise money for the club's community service projects, including an elementary school essay contest and high school scholarship fund.

Refreshments will be sold.

Pasadena business group to offer breakfast meeting

The Pasadena Business Association will have a joint business exchange breakfast from 7:45 to 9:30 a.m. May 10 at the Crofton Country Club.

The cost to members is $15 with advance registration, $18 at the door. Nonmembers can attend for $25.
