Spring Fling on tap May 11 at Clarksville Elementary School

Clarksville Elementary School will hold its Spring Fling from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 11.

Games, prizes, raffles, a plant sale, face-painting, nail-painting, a silent auction, martial arts demonstrations and other entertainment, a barbecue, nachos, pizza, hot dogs, snowballs and cotton candy are planned.

Turner, Dean of Magic, will perform, and the Ravens' mascot will be on hand.

International Night slated at River Hill High School

The International Club of River Hill High School will hold its second RHHS International Night at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

Music, dances, songs, martial arts, a parade of nations and a fashion show are planned. Food samples from a variety of countries will be available.

`A Spanish Experience' for kids today at library

The Glenwood library, 2350 Route 97, Cooksville, will offer "A Spanish Experience," for children ages 5 and older, from 7 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. today. Stories and activities featuring the Spanish language are planned.

"A Mother's Day Memory," with stories, music and an opportunity to make a gift, will be held from 7 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. May 9. The program is for children ages 5 to 8.

Graduates: Army Reserve Pvt. Gordan A. Boltz, son of Gordan A. and Robin S. Boltz of Dayton, has graduated from the Wire Systems Installer/Multichannel Communications Equipment Repairer course at Fort Gordon, Augusta, Ga. He is a 1999 graduate of River Hill High School.
