Mrs. Edgett, a Cockeysville resident, spent her entire career at Union Memorial. She started there as a nurse in the nursery in 1947. She later was a head nurse, assistant director of nurses, and finally director of nursing service. She retired in 1986.

Born and raised in Frostburg, Bronwen Reese graduated from Beall High School in 1944 and entered the old Union Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She earned a bachelor's degree in nursing in 1947.

An accomplished pianist, she also studied at Peabody Preparatory School for many years.

In 1951, she married William Maloy Edgett, a labor arbitrator who survives her.

Mrs. Edgett was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Forest Hill, where services were held Monday.
