New positions

Loyola names Hatcher publications director

Loyola College of Maryland appointed Brian Hatcher director of publications. He is responsible for development and management of the school's visual identity through the use of various media, including ad displays and Web sites. A graduate of Pennsylvania State University, he formerly was a design director for Gilden Integrated.

Saag is a senior VP at Trahan, Burden

Trahan, Burden & Charles said John Saag joined the Baltimore-based national public relations and ad firm as senior vice president and director of broadcast production. The award-winning veteran producer-director will manage and coordinate the agency's radio and television production, and act as a point of contact with clients.

Darlington, Leverenz join Rosen Group

The Rosen Group named Andy Darlington a graphic artist and Chris Leverenz an advertising executive for the Hampden-based arts marketing and publishing firm.

Darlington is responsible for the in-house design of American Style and NICHE magazines, as well as promotional materials for other agency projects. A graduate of the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, he was previously with NetNeighborhoods.com. Leverenz, a graduate of Villanova University, will work with craft artists and galleries nationally for American Style and NICHE magazines.

Heine is marketing chief for Meridian Medical

Meridian Medical Technologies Inc. named Kevin W. Heine director, marketing and business development, for its pharmaceutical systems unit. He is responsible for pharmaceutical products and implementation of strategic business plan, licensing and acquisition agreements. The University of Arizona graduate formerly was marketing and distribution director for Propst Pharmaceuticals.

Anthony, Combs take posts at Country Meadow

Country Meadows Retirement Communities appointed Debra Anthony as director of wellness and Valerie Combs as director of marketing at its Frederick location.

Anthony, a Hagerstown resident, is a registered nurse with extensive experience in senior health care, and was formerly with Washington County Hospital. Combs is a graduate of the Carlson Travel Academy and lives in Frederick.
