You can see the original Girl in the Yellow Dress strut her stuff beginning Tuesday, when the 2000 Tony Award-winning musical Contact opens a one-week run at the Mechanic Theatre. Deborah Yates plays a mysterious, seductive swing dancer in the final section of this trio of dance-based pieces, directed and choreographed by Susan Stroman. Baltimore is one of only three cities in which Yates is reprising her Broadway role.

Show times at the Mechanic, 25 Hopkins Plaza, are 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 6:30 p.m. Sunday, with matinees at 2 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $22.50-$70. For more information, call 410-752-1200.
