Stanwick's goal lifts NDP to 14-13 lacrosse victory

Junior Coco Stanwick scored the game-winning goal with 30 seconds left to lift No. 7 Notre Dame Prep to a 14-13 victory over No. 8 Roland Park in a Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference girls lacrosse game yesterday at NDP.

At one point, the Blazers (7-3-1, 4-1-1 IAAM A Conference) trailed 5-0 but fought back behind five goals from senior Marissa Gianneri.

No. 13 Severn 8. No. 9 St. Mary's 7: Junior Skylar Sutton scored four goals to help the Admirals (10-4-2, 6-3-2 A Conference) down the Saints.

Boys lacrosse

No. 1 Boys' Latin 9, No. 7 Severn 8: The visiting Lakers (13-1, 8-1 Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference) killed off an extra-man opportunity in the game's final minute to avenge their only loss of the season against the Admirals (10-6, 5-5).

No. 4 St. Mary's 16, No. 3 McDonogh 15: Connor Blemly scored with 2:38 left in the first overtime to give the visiting Saints ( 9-6, 6-3 MIAA A Conference) a win over the Eagles (10-7).

Friends 10, No. 9 St. Paul's 7: Junior Will Sale scored four of his five goals in the second half to spark the host Quakers (4-8) to their first A Conference victory of the season.


No. 3 Arundel 3, Annapolis 1: Bobby Goldbeck hit a two-out, two-run double in the top of the ninth as the visiting Wildcats turned away the Panthers.

No. 14 Parkville 5, Franklin 4: Danny Amig tripled home the tying run, then scored on a Dan Brown two-out single in the bottom of the seventh as the Knights (10-2, 8-2) triumphed.


Old Mill 4, No. 7 Severna Park 3: Dawn Artman pitched 6 1/3 innings and Jenn Clark thwarted a late Falcons rally as the Patriots (7-5) upset the visiting Falcons.
