Residents can drop off toxic household materials

Residents who want to rid their household of toxic material may drop off hazardous items this weekend at the Poly-Western High School parking lot, Falls Road and Cold Spring Lane.

Bleach, pesticides, herbicides, car and household batteries, drain cleaner, gasoline and pool chemicals will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow.

Proof of city residency is required to drop off material. Information: contact the Department of Public Works' Office of Recycling by calling 311.
