A 23-year-old man was fatally shot yesterday afternoon during an argument over money with two men near Patterson Park in East Baltimore, city police said.

Quintin Higgins was seen arguing with two men in the 100 block of N. Patterson Park Ave. about 3 p.m. when he was shot three times, police said. The assailants fled and were being sought.

Higgins, who lived on that block, died about an hour later at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

In an unrelated killing, police identified Corey Bennett, 22, as the victim in a stabbing Tuesday outside a house in the Sandtown-Winchester section of West Baltimore. Police said Bennett, of the 1800 block of Gertrude Court, was stabbed once in the chest outside a house in the 1600 block of Presbury St. about 10 p.m. and died 30 minutes later at Shock Trauma.
