New positions

Northrop Grumman promotes Gray to VP

Northrop Grumman Corp. has appointed Katherine A. Gray as vice president, procurement and material management, at its Baltimore-based Electronic Systems. She is responsible for procurement and material strategies, programs and operations. A graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, she joined the company in 1980 as an associate engineer and most recently served as director of sector business operations.

Perlman is vice president at Constellation Energy

Constellation Energy Group said Beth S. Perlman was chosen for the position of vice president and chief information officer. She had been vice president of Enron Wholesale Trading Technology before joining the Baltimore-based energy industry holding company. A New York native and graduate of Syracuse University, she is relocating to the Baltimore area from Houston.

Moores named director of Calvert client relations

Calvert Education Services named Scott Moores as director of client relations. He will be responsible for developing group services, strategic partnerships and operations coordination for the Hunt Valley-based home school curriculum provider. Moores holds an M.B.A from Loyola College. He headed his own consulting practice, WSM Management, and had previously been a vice president with The Baltimore Sun Co.

McAree joins tech council as marketing assistant

The Greater Baltimore Technology Council appointed Lauren McAree a marketing assistant. She will maintain member and prospect databases, coordinate finances and assist with programs and office administration. Formerly senior Web communications specialist with RewardsPlus Corp., she is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

Public relations

Pommerehn joins Stanton Communications

Stanton Communications Inc. said Gillian B. Pommerehn joined the Baltimore office of the regional marketing and public relations agency as an account executive and member of its technology practice group. She handles development and implementation of marketing and communication strategies for corporate and non-profit clients. Formerly public relations manager with Caliber Learning Network, she graduated from Towson University.


Kelly, Stein associates at Whiteford Taylor

Regional law firm Whiteford Taylor & Preston hired Heather J. Kelly and Aryeh E. Stein as associates.

Kelly, a former assistant U.S. attorney, is a law graduate of George Washington University and assigned to the business litigation section of the firm's Washington offices. Stein, a University of Maryland law graduate, was formerly with Leitess, Leitess & Friedberg. He will practice in the bankruptcy section of the Baltimore office.
