Two days of voting in Columbia Council elections begins today in two villages and continues tomorrow in nine of Columbia's 10 villages, with only a handful of the results expecting to be a surprise.

Thirty-five candidates are running for 34 village board seats. Races are contested in four villages -- Wilde Lake, Oakland Mills, Dorsey's Search and Hickory Ridge. In Kings Contrivance there is one candidate for three seats.

Six Columbia Council candidates are up for re-election, with three running unopposed.
