Ashley Gray struck out 10 of the 15 batters she faced while throwing her first perfect game in the Institute of Notre Dame's five-inning 20-0 victory over Notre Dame Prep yesterday.

Gray has started every game this season for the Indians (11-4) and averages 9.1 strikeouts with a 0.22 ERA.

"She's been pretty dominant the whole year[and] in the A Conference of the IAAM. If you don't have a dominant pitcher ... you're basically cooked," said IND coach Greg Ehrman.

Gray also went 4-for-5 (double, four RBIs).
