Kristi Lynn Moore, a medical assistant and mother of three, died Friday at University of Maryland Medical Center of a heart attack brought on by a lung infection. She was 32.

Kristi Mellott was born in Baltimore and was a lifelong resident of Violetville. She attended Mergenthaler Vocational-Technical High School before becoming a secretary and later a medical assistant for Adult and Pediatric Urology Group of Maryland.

According to Dr. Lawrence Bezirdjian, a partner in the medical practice, she was extremely kind and giving.

"She made us look good," said Dr. Bezirdjian. "She took special care of the patients, particularly those with no insurance. She often gave prescription drug samples to people who could not afford them."

Susan Kaufmann, a friend and co-worker, described her as a person who took extra time to help and care for other people.

"She gave her whole life to her kids and her patients," she said.

Ms. Moore loved spending time with her children, said her mother, Karen Mellott.

She also helped other children in the neighborhood, who could often be found at her house.

Ms. Moore, who did not drive, was often seen carrying groceries for her family.

"Everyone loved her," her mother said.

Ms. Moore enjoyed singing and dancing to country music. She was a fan of Garth Brooks' and regularly attended concerts.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Hubbard Funeral Home, 4107 Wilkens Ave.
