Yankees update With a 4-3 loss in Boston yesterday, the Yankees completed a 3-5 road trip that included a four-game losing streak. The Orioles made the four-time defending American League champions look human on Opening Day at Camden Yards with a 10-3 victory but scored just one run in losing the final two games of the series. Clemens was on the mound for that defeat and also Thursday's 11-3 loss at Toronto. But his statistics are a bit deceiving. The Orioles scored eight runs against him after he injured his right hand trying to field a comebacker by David Segui. On Thursday, Clemens was pitching on three days' rest as a substitute for Orlando Hernandez, who was out with a stiff neck. Yankees closer Mariano Rivera has converted five of six save opportunities this season, and the blown save came Saturday, when Shea Hillenbrand hit a game-winning two-run homer in the eighth inning.
