New positions

First Service promotes Ferreira to president

First Service Networks promoted Michael A. Ferreira to president of the facilities maintenance, repair and installation services company. A former Hobart Corp. vice president, he joined the Annapolis Junction-based company in 2001. He is a member of several professional and industry associations, including the National Association of Service Managers International.


Hector named partner at Horich Parks Lebow

Horich Parks Lebow Advertising named Vice President Gordon R. Hector as a partner. A graduate of American University, he was director of operations with International Management group before joining the Hunt Valley-based agency in 1998 as account executive.

Brann Baltimore names three new employees

Brann Baltimore hired Julia McCabe as production manager and Melissa Griffin and Ashley Shubic as account executives for the direct marketing and advertising firm.

McCabe, a Towson University graduate, was formerly with Motta & Associates. She is responsible for management of all production, including film and print.

Griffin, a former account coordinator with Gilden Integrated, provides clients with direct account support and assists in business development and internal communications for the agency. She is a graduate of Towson University. Shubic, a Loyola College graduate and master's candidate at the Johns Hopkins University, has primary responsibility for the First USA and accounts.


Hearn to coordinate Cannon Design marketing

Cannon Design hired Kristin Hearn as a marketing coordinator at the Baltimore-based architectural, engineering and planning firm. She assists with creative marketing strategies and technical proposal preparation. A graduate of Frostburg State University, she is active in the Society for Marketing Professional Services.

Passananti, Davie appointed by RewardsPlus

RewardsPlus, a benefit automation service provider, appointed Anthony Passananti vice president, sales engineering and Gerri C. Davie regional sales director, Eastern region.

Passananti, formerly a senior manager with Perot Systems, supports strategic sales and manages technical support to the sales process, accelerating sales as a key business closer. A graduate of the University of Chicago, he has more than 20 years of business management and technology expertise in the managed care, health insurance and pharmaceutical markets.

Davie is responsible for sales and marketing of the company's benefit technology, working directly with middle market employers in New England, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont. Before joining RewardsPlus, she was director of business development for Creditek MediFinancial. A registered nurse, she is also a graduate of the University of Bridgeport.


REIT names Fowler vice president of finance

Corporate Office Properties Trust appointed Mary Ellen Fowler vice president, finance and investor relations. She is responsible for coordinating and negotiating financing requirements, managing public market communication among investors, analysts and the media, and reporting financial results and activities to external audiences. She also cultivates and maintains relationships with institutional investors. Formerly with Key Bank of Cleveland, Ohio, she holds an M.B.A. from Syracuse University.
