Michno, Gemcraft lead in Awards of Excellence

Kevin Michno, senior vice president of Mercantile Mortgage Corp., was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award, while Gemcraft Homes won in three Outstanding Home Awards categories in the Maryland Awards of Excellence sponsored by the Sales and Marketing Council of the Home Builders Association of Maryland.

The awards, presented at the Hyatt Regency at the Inner Harbor, recognized local homebuilders for design, livability and value.

The awards were separated into two categories: large volume builders who achieve more than $7 million in annual sales and small volume builders who do less than $7 million annually.

Gemcraft, based in Fallston, was recognized with awards in both single-family detached and townhouse categories.

In a new category - Active Adult - Sturbridge Homes, Patriot Homes Inc. and Clark Turner Homes Inc. gathered awards for their plans.

Della Keyes of Gemcraft Homes and Korin Frey of Ryland Homes were honored as Exceptional Salespersons of the Year.
