April 02, 2002|BY A SUN STAFF WRITER

A man robbed a Papa John's Pizza in Ellicott City of an undisclosed amount of cash Sunday night, Howard County police said yesterday.

The robber, who was dressed in a camouflage coat and covered his face with a bandana, entered the store in the 8500 block of Baltimore National Pike about 7:40 p.m. After telling employees that he had a weapon, he ordered them into a back room and took an undisclosed amount of cash from an office safe. Police said they were unsure how the robber fled or how he got access to the safe.
