New positions

Schultz, Hays take posts at Country Meadows

Country Meadows Retirement Communities hired Leslie Schultz as its director of human resources and Gary Hays as director of maintenance for its newly opened Frederick facility. Schultz, a resident of Walkersville, most recently worked at a Frederick nonprofit. Hays, also a resident of Walkersville, is a graduate of American University and a retired captain of the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department.


Price is PR manager for Mullin/Ashley

Mullin/Ashley Associates Inc. hired Stephanie Cooper Price as public relations manager for the Worton-based regional business-to-business communications agency. She has responsibility for client public and media relations activities. The University of Delaware graduate formerly was director of the Conference & Visitors Bureau of the Talbot County Chamber of Commerce.

LH&A signs Karfonta as account executive

Lawrence Howard & Associates hired Jeanne Karfonta as an account executive at the Reisterstown advertising, public relations and market research firm. She assists in advertising, marketing and public relations projects for clients in the Baltimore-Washington area. An Ellicott City resident, the Elon College graduate was marketing coordinator for Timonium-based RDA. She is active with several organizations, including the American Heart Association.

Mercantile names Waibel VP, commercial lender

Mercantile-Safe Deposit & Trust Co. appointed Stacey A.T. Waibel a vice president and commercial lender in its small business and community banking department. She is responsible for business development with health care professionals. A graduate of the College of Notre Dame of Maryland, the 19-year industry veteran was formerly with Allfirst Financial.


RK&K names Potter partner, Mohler associate

Rummel, Klepper & Kahl LLP has named J. Michael Potter a partner and Thomas E. Mohler an associate at the Baltimore-based engineering consulting firm.

Potter, a professional engineer, provides technical leadership and shares management and marketing responsibilities in the construction engineering department. An engineering graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute, he holds an M.B.A. from Loyola College. Potter is a resident of Timonium and active in several professional organizations, including the Maryland Association of Engineers and the Virginia Road and Transportation Builders Association.

Mohler, a professional engineer, is assigned to the transportation engineering department. A graduate of Lafayette College, the Baltimore resident is a member of the Maryland Society of Professional Engineers and the American Society of Civil Engineers.

Kubler joins NAI KLNB as head of investment sales

NAI KLNB Inc. announced that Christopher Kubler, formerly of CB Richard Ellis, has joined its Columbia office as director of investment sales. He will focus on the sale of office, flex, research and development and industrial properties in the Baltimore-Washington area. A resident of Washington, he is a graduate of American University.
