ANNAPOLIS -- A 79-year-old man was injured yesterday morning by a two-alarm fire at his townhouse on Clay Street.

The man, whose identity was not released, was taken to Bayview Burn Center, said Capt. Leonard Clark, a spokesman for the Annapolis Fire Department.

The call came in at 3:52 a.m., and firefighters brought the blaze under control in about 25 minutes, Clark said. He said townhouses on either side of the house were damaged by smoke and water. A damage estimate was not available. The cause and origin of the fire were being investigated, Clark said.
