Mortgage brokers to hold conference at convention center

Celebrating its 10-year anniversary, the Maryland Association of Mortgage Brokers will hold its annual conference Wednesday and Thursday at the Baltimore Convention Center.

The event begins with an annual members meeting at 5 p.m. at the Marriott Inner Harbor Hotel on Wednesday.

The next day is filled with choices of continuing education courses, such as "Mortgage Broker Business Ethics," "Maryland Law Update" and "Predatory Lending."

An exhibition will also be held in the afternoon where mortgage brokers can learn about the latest products and services.

Williamsburg Group, a Columbia-based homebuilder, named Tim Morris vice president of marketing. He joined the firm as a sales manager in 1990 and became director of sales and marketing in 2000.
