HOWARD CRIME REPORT

The crime report is a sampling of crimes in Howard County compiled from police. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 410-313-3700.

East Columbia

Pennacook Court: 6500 block, Owen Brown. Several items were stolen from a residence March 20 while someone was moving in.

Stevens Forest Road: 5800 block, Oakland Mills. The Allfirst Bank was robbed about 9:15 a.m. Thursday. The thief - described as a white man in his mid-40s, weighing about 160 pounds and wearing a black baseball cap, light-blue jacket and sunglasses - fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

Stevens Forest Road: 5700 block, Oakland Mills. Someone took furniture between Wednesday and Sunday from an apartment that was being vacated. A window on the second-floor balcony had been left open.

West Columbia

Lynx Lane: 5400 block, Wilde Lake. When employees at Produce Galore arrived at work early Sunday, they found an unfamiliar person in the store. The person had used store tools to attempt to open a floor safe. There was no sign of forced entry. The intruder fled.

Ellicott City/Elkridge

Main St.: 8000 block, Ellicott City. Two men accosted a man, threatened him with a handgun and demanded money about 10 p.m. Sunday behind the post office. The victim had no money, and the pair fled on foot.

U.S. 40: 10000 block, Ellicott City. Intruders broke into a vacant room at Forrest Motel on Thursday or Friday and drank beer, smoked cigarettes, put a hole in the ceiling and ripped two pillows. Nothing was stolen.

N. Laurel/Savage/Jessup

Sandy Court: 8200 block, Jessup. Two men beat up a person March 19 and stole his wallet, cell phone and personal items.
