Salisbury rolls past Trinity, 15-7

Four players scored two goals each to lead a balanced attack as Salisbury defeated visiting Trinity, 15-7, in a nonconference game yesterday.

The Sea Gulls (6-2) scored the first four goals of the game and never trailed in their first-ever meeting with Trinity (0-3).

Senior Steve Brianas finished with two goals and two assists, while Andy Arnold, Andy Murray and Justin Smith also scored two goals apiece for Salisbury, which led 4-1 after one quarter and 7-3 at halftime.

The Sea Gulls sealed the victory by scoring the first six goals of the third period to push the lead to 13-3.


St. Mary's 16, Washington College 5: Sophomore attack Meg McFall (Broadneck) scored six goals and had an assist in leading the Seahawks (6-0) to an easy win over the Shorewomen (1-3).

Villa Julie 19, Immaculata 0: The host Mustangs (3-4) got their second straight win, trouncing the Mighty Macs (3-4) behind three goals each from Kim Gorsch (Joppatowne) and Nikki Hentz (Bel Air), and a five-assist effort from Lynn Mann (Bel Air).
