Violinist looks forward to future in law

The student: Supriya Shah, 14

School: River Hill High

Special achievement: She represented River Hill High School in the Junior All-State Orchestra on March 10.

How she did it: Supriya began violin lessons in kindergarten, and she practices as often as she can. She also plays the flute.

What she says about it: "It means a lot to me because it is a very prestigious honor. I worked very hard to achieve it."

Her plans: Although she loves playing the violin, Supriya doesn't plan to make a career in music. She wants to study law and become a lawyer.

What she does for fun: Supriya loves to read and spend time talking with her friends.

Her motto: "I like to work hard toward whatever I do."
