Dollar volume rose 24% at Re/Max last year

Re/Max Central Atlantic Region reported that dollar volume last year was $13 billion, 24 percent more than in 2000.

The Central Atlantic Region, which covers Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington, grew to 3,180 associates, 8 percent more than in 2000.

Charlie Bengel, owner of four Re/Max offices in Virginia and three in Washington, was honored as the region's multioffice broker-owner of the year with a combined total sales volume of more than $1 billion.

Betty Buffington of Re/Max Realty Center in Olney was the single office broker-owner of the year. Re/Max Realty Plus in Frederick, owned by Joe Anselmo, led single offices in the region in sales volume.

NRT Mid-Atlantic Title Services, LLC announced the opening of a satellite office in Annapolis. The office is at 170 Jennifer Road, Suite 205.

Caton Realty announced its sales and listing leaders for last month. The firm said Cindy Martlock was the agent with the largest volume, number of transactions and number of retail units. Rose Lancelotta had the most listings. The team of Heather and Duncan Peek had the largest volume, number of listings, number of resale units and number of transactions in the team awards category.

On the move

The Bozzuto Group has appointed Duncan Slidell and Thomas S. "Toby" Bozzuto Jr. financial officer and development associate, respectively.

Slidell is the son of John Slidell, president of Bozzuto Homes Inc. and Bozzuto Development Co. He graduated from Washington and Lee University and has worked for Friedman Billings Ramsey.

Bozzuto, the son of President and Chief Executive Officer Tom Bozzuto, has a master's degree from New York University and was an analyst for J.P. Morgan and Columbia National.
