Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore County

Cockeysville Precinct

Bank robbery try: A man entered the first of two sets of doors at Susquehanna Bank in the 9700 block of York Road, covered his face with a stocking mask, and attempted to enter through a second set of doors - only to find them locked. It was 2:10 p.m., and the bank was closed. The would-be robber fled shortly before police arrived, responding to a holdup alarm.

Robbery: A gunman robbed a High's store in the first block of Warren Road of less than $100 about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Burglary: Stereo speakers and a stereo amplifier - all valued at $1,000 - were stolen between Feb. 1 and Tuesday from a storage locker in an apartment building in the first block of Valley Lake Place.

White Marsh Precinct

Burglary/assault: A teen-age male was attempting to remove a bicycle from the porch of a house in the 400 block of Meadow Road about 10 a.m. Tuesday when the 56-year-old male occupant spotted him. During a brief foot chase, the teen pulled a handgun from his clothing and pointed it at the man, who gave up the chase.

Woodlawn Precinct

Burglary: Several pieces of jewelry of unknown value were stolen Tuesday from the bedroom of an apartment in the 7100 block of Rolling Bend Road by someone who entered through a kitchen window.

Baltimore City

Southeasterm District

Robbery try: A man, 23, was playing soccer with friends and family members at a park in the 100 block of N. Janney St. about 6 p.m. Tuesday when he was accosted by several teen-age males demanding his jewelry. When the victim refused to comply, one of the teen-agers struck him. When the victim called for his brothers to help, the youths fled. No arrests had been made and the victim was not seriously injured.

Theft from vehicle: About 30 compact discs and a camera - all valued at more than $700 - were stolen Tuesday from a Ford pickup truck parked in the 600 block of S. Luzerne Ave.

Theft: A compact disc player valued at $75 and an automobile manual were stolen Tuesday from a 1994 Honda Accord in the 500 block of S. Eden St.

Southern District

Stolen vehicle: A 1993 Acura with temporary tags 965932 was stolen Tuesday in the 300 block of S. Gilmor St.

Stolen truck: A 1999 Ford pickup truck with Arizona tag A80722 was stolen Tuesday in the 4100 block of Audrey Ave.

Western District

Robbery: A gunman entered Heaven's Gate Eatery in the first block of N. Smallwood St. about 3 p.m. yesterday and ordered an employee to give him the contents of the cash register. The man fled with an undisclosed sum.

Stolen vehicle: A blue four-door 2001 Honda Civic with tags JLE 225 was stolen yesterday from the parking lot at Mondawmin Mall.

Stolen van: Police were seeking a green 1993 Plymouth van with tags M226833 that was stolen Tuesday in the 300 block of N. Schroeder St.

Northern District

Burglary: Someone broke into a house under renovation in the 2200 block of St. Paul St. on Tuesday through a rear door and stole a ladder.

Southwestern District

Stolen rig: A 1995 Peterbilt tractor was stolen between March 8 and Monday from the 4600 block of Pen Lucy Road.
