Drexel women end Towson's 2-26 season

NORFOLK, Va. - No. 7 seed Drexel got 22 points each from senior Michelle Maslowski and freshman Jessica Copskey in beating the Towson women's team, 80-56, yesterday in the first round of the Colonial Athletic Association tournament.

The Dragons (14-14) advanced to take on Delaware at noon today. The Tigers ended their season at 2-26 as Drexel made eight of its first nine shots.

"We got off to a bad start," said Towson coach Joe Mathews, whose squad got 11 points each from Mia Chapman and Kyva Jones. "All the credit goes to Drexel. They were extremely well-prepared."
