Woman, 74, killed in car-truck crash near Pa. border

March 04, 2002

A Hampstead woman was killed when the car she was driving collided with a pickup truck Saturday night at Band Hall Hill and Deep Run roads, about a mile from the Pennsylvania border.

Authorities pronounced Amelia Faye Frock, 74, of the 3700 block of Shiloh Road dead at the scene.

Police said early findings indicated that her car, traveling on Band Hall Hill Road, failed to yield the right of way at the intersection to the westbound truck of Richard Austin Airing, 24, of the 3300 block of Littlestown Pike in Westminster. Airing was treated at Carroll County General Hospital and released.

Police said the investigation is continuing.
