Investigators interview 15 children in abuse case

February 21, 2002

Harford County investigators have interviewed 15 children in the case of an Edgewood truck driver charged with sexual abuse, an assistant state's attorney said yesterday.

David Kanelopoulus, 43, of the 1000 block of E. Spring Meadow Drive was arrested last week and charged with three counts each of second-degree sex offense and child abuse. He is being held without bond at Harford County Detention Center.

M. Teresa Garland, assistant state's attorney with the Harford County Child Advocacy Center, said "six solid victims" had been confirmed, all girls ranging from 9 to 12 years old. No additional charges have been filed, she said.
