Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Northern District

Robbery/shooting: A woman leaving a restaurant in the 5900 block of York Road was shot in the leg about 9 p.m. Sunday after struggling with a robber trying to take her purse. The woman was treated at Union Memorial Hospital. The robber escaped with the purse.

Eastern District

Stabbing: Falame Dailey, 21, of the 1100 block of E. Chase St. was stabbed in the lung during an attack in the 1300 block of E. Lafayette Ave. about 2 a.m. Sunday. He was in critical condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Armed robbery: A 41-year-old resident of the 1000 block of N. Broadway was walking in the 900 block of E. Eager St. about 1:50 a.m. when two people pulled up in a blue Ford Taurus. One pointed a .38-caliber revolver at him, while the other took $365 and three gold rings valued at $305.

Southeastern District:

Robbery: A 47-year-old man was walking in the 2000 block of E. Fairmount Ave. about 6:20 p.m. Sunday when a man approached him from behind and said, "Don't turn around." The robber stole $30 and ran away.

Robbery: After parking his car in the Fells Point area, a 21-year-old man asked for directions from two men about 1:50 p.m. Sunday. He said they led him to Eastern Avenue, then Bond Street, where one grabbed his arms from behind and the other said, "Show him the .38." The victim told police the robbers never displayed a gun.

Baltimore County

Woodlawn Precinct

Assault: A woman told police she was beaten over the head with a wooden statue Sunday by a former boyfriend at her home in the 6100 block of Brighton Place. A man who had gone to the home to retrieve a cell phone was charged with first-degree assault.

Bank robbery: Two men with stockings over their heads robbed the First Union bank in the 1700 block of Rolling Road when it opened Saturday. One bandit, armed with a handgun, stood at the bank's door while his partner took an undisclosed amount of cash.

Essex Precinct

Attempted robbery: A man walking along Marlyn Avenue at Martin Road was approached by a man asking for a cigarette about 2 a.m. Monday, then hit on the head with a bottle by a second man. Both attackers searched the man's pockets, but nothing was taken. The victim suffered a cut head.
