Body found in Harford County investigated as homicide

February 15, 2002

EDGEWOOD - A decomposed body with a gunshot wound found off Route 755 is being investigated as a homicide, the Harford County Sheriff's Office said yesterday.

Based on an autopsy, officials said the body was that of a young black man and had been in the marshy, wooded area between Route 7 and U.S. 40 for about two months. It was discovered during a routine security check of Aberdeen Proving Ground's Edgewood area water treatment plant, an APG spokesman said. Anyone with information was asked to call Detective Tom Walsh at 410-836-5408.
