Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Northwestern District

Bank holdup: A robber stole an undisclosed amount of money from a teller at 10 a.m. Monday at First Union Bank in the 4700 block of Liberty Heights Ave. Police said the robber gave the teller a note saying, "No alarms, no dye packs, no sudden moves or you will die. I have a gun."

Assault: A man wearing a bandanna over his face and brandishing a handgun came to the door of a home in the 3100 block of Bancroft Road at 7 p.m. Monday. A woman living there quickly shut the door before he could gain entry, and the man ran away.

Central District

Auto theft: A gray-green 1991 Toyota with license tags JSZ 409 was stolen from the first block of E. Lafayette Ave. between 2:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday.

Southeastern District

Auto theft: A dark green 1996 Nissan Maxima with Pennsylvania license tag ECH 4103 was stolen from the 2800 block of Fait Ave. between 10 p.m. Sunday and 9:15 a.m. Monday.

Burglary: Thieves stole a stained-glass window bearing the number 637, along with a transom glass window, from a home on South Belnord Avenue between Feb. 1 and Sunday, while the owner was out of town.

Eastern District

Carjacking: Four men robbed a 33-year-old unlicensed cabbie of $70 and stole his 1994 Honda Civic about 4:30 a.m. Monday. One of the men took out a handgun and struck the driver on the back of his head.

Southern District

Burglary: A thief climbed a tree and crawled through a rear bathroom window to break into a home in the 100 block of Scott St., stealing a laptop computer, digital camera and hand-held computer, all valued at $3,800. The owner discovered the burglary at 4:50 p.m. Sunday.

Baltimore County

Woodlawn Precinct

Burglary: Someone broke into a home in the 2500 block of Molton Way between 2:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Monday, entering through a rear window and taking jewelry and cash. The extent of the loss was not known.

Burglary: Someone broke into an apartment in the 8600 block of Gray Fox Road between noon and 9:30 p.m. Monday and stole DVDs.

Essex Precinct

Burglary: Someone broke into Eastern Technical High School on Mace Avenue on Monday and stole cameras and equipment.

Burglary: Someone broke into a shed in the 200 block of Ballard Ave. on Monday and stole a Yamaha four-wheel vehicle.

Burglary: Someone broke into a shed in the 300 block of St. George Road on Monday and stole tools.
