Sophomore guard Chris Rodgers scored a career-high 23 points and Brian Werner had 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead Bucknell to a 76-56 victory over Navy in a Patriot League men's basketball game last night in Lewisburg, Pa.

Rodgers hit eight of nine field-goal attempts to help Bucknell (9-13, 5-4) end a six-game losing streak against the Midshipmen (9-15, 4-5), who have lost three straight.

Bryan Bailey added 13 points, and reserve forward Ben Slater scored 11.

Jehiel Lewis, Francis Ebong and Sonny Lewis had eight points each for Navy.

Johns Hopkins 69, Goucher 56: Junior forward Steve Adams scored a game-high 19 points as the host Blue Jays (13-8, 7-3) downed the Garnet Tide (5-17, 1-9) in a Centennial Conference game.

Ursinus 92, Washington College 80: A 58-31 rebounding advantage powered the Bears (7-13, 3-7) past the visiting Shoremen in a Centennial Conference game.

The Shoremen (8-13, 3-7)) lost despite hitting 15 of 30 three-pointers.

St. Mary's 72, Goucher 60: Matt Miller came off the bench to score 24 points on 8-for-12 shooting as the host Seahawks (5-17, 2-9) defeated the Gophers (11-10, 5-6) in a Capital Athletic Conference game.

Dickinson 69, Western Maryland 47: John Schwadron had game highs of 26 points and 15 rebounds to help the visiting Red Devils cruise past the Green Terror (5-16).


Bucknell 83, Navy 71: The host Bison (14-8, 7-2) used a 20-0 second-half run to defeat the Mids (10-12, 2-7) in the Patriot League.

Navy led 51-42 with 15:04 to play, when Bucknell, paced by Molly Creamer's 32 points, made the decisive run.

The Mids were led by Bryanna Herring's 20 points. Maile Shimoda scored 17, and Adrienne Roseti had 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

Swarthmore 85, Johns Hopkins 82, 2OT: Sophomore guard Katie Robinson set a school-record with 40 points to lead the Garnet (17-5, 10-2) to a thrilling Centennial Conference victory over the host Blue Jays (17-5, 8-3).

Robinson shot 15-for-27 from the field and 9-for-12 from the foul line for her record-setting total. She also grabbed a game-high 17 rebounds and tallied eight steals in 49 minutes.

Sophomore guard Maureen Myers led Hopkins with a career-high 24 points and seven rebounds.

St. Mary's 79, Goucher 73: Adeli Magnani paced four Seahawks in double figures with 22 points, and added 14 rebounds in the Capital Athletic Conference win for St. Mary's (4-16, 2-9) over the visiting Gophers (6-12, 4-7).

Ursinus 72, Washington College 60: Junior guard Krista Marino scored a game-high 20 points to go along with six assists and seven rebounds as the visiting Bears (9-12, 6-6) handed the cold-shooting Shorewomen (10-11, 4-7) a Centennial Conference loss.

Katie Piringer led Washington with 14 points and set a school record with her 50th three-pointer.

Hood 72, Trinity 52: Four Blazers were in double figures, led by Mandy Fischer's 18 points, as host Hood turned a halftime deficit into a rout of the Tigers.
