AACC invites public to use pool

Anne Arundel Community College invites the community to open swim sessions Monday through Saturday through May 11 at its Olson Memorial Pool. Swimmers must be at least 16 years old. Admission is free for faculty members and credit students who show a current class schedule. Noncredit students and others from the community can buy pool passes for $30 at the College Store, Careers Center Room 126 on the Arnold Campus.

Times are: two 50-minute open swims at noon and 1 p.m. Monday through Friday; 5:30 p.m. to 6:20 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays; 7:30 p.m. to 9:20 p.m. Wednesdays; two 50-minute open swim sessions at 11 a.m. and noon Saturdays. Information: 410-777-2316.

Severna Park High plans Rock 'n' Roll Revival

Severna Park High School will have its 13th annual Rock 'n' Roll Revival next month. More than 200 Severna Park students, graduates, faculty and parents will be involved in this production of choreography and rock 'n' roll hits from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s.

Shows are scheduled for 8 p.m. March 8, 8 p.m. March 9, 3 p.m. March 10, 7:30 p.m. March 14, 8 p.m. March 15 and 8 p.m. March 16. Tickets are $9. Information: 410-544-0900.

Genealogical society: Anne Arundel Genealogical Society will meet at 7:30 tonight in the main hall of Severna Park United Methodist Church. Barrett L. McKown, registrar of the Society of Mareen Duvall Descendants, will speak about the 75-year-old society and Mareen Duvall, an early settler of Anne Arundel County. Continuing education: Anne Arundel Community College will offer noncredit continuing education courses this month to recognize Valentine's Day. "Recipes for a Romantic Rendezvous" will meet from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday. "Building a Relationship During a Special Weekend" will take place Friday and Saturday at a local bed and breakfast. SCORE meeting: Service Corps of Retired Executives will conduct a workshop, "Using the Internet for Business," from 8:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the YWCA, 1517 Ritchie Highway, Arnold.
