Chase man charged in Internet sting with four sex counts

A Baltimore County man was jailed yesterday on charges of arranging to pay for sexual acts with a made-up 13-year-old girl in an Internet chat room and driving to meet her at a Finksburg fast-food restaurant - where he found undercover state troopers instead, authorities said.

Robert Michael Rysak, 41, of the 3800 block Dunsmuir Circle in the Chase area of eastern Baltimore County was being held at the Carroll County Detention Center in Westminster on $50,000 bail.

Rysak is accused of using a computer to solicit unlawful sexual conduct with a person he believed to be a minor. The four charges are using a computer for child pornography; attempted second-degree sex offense; pandering; and soliciting someone younger than 16 for prostitution.

Police said the case unfolded after a trooper working undercover received an unsolicited contact on the Internet. After several messages, the meeting was set up and the arrest made, police said.
