HOWARD CRIME REPORT

The crime report is a sampling of crimes in Howard County compiled from police. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 410-313-3700.

West Columbia

Daystar Court: 10300 block, Wilde Lake. Someone entered a residence through a patio door Saturday. The basement door was damaged, and tools, a Sony PlayStation, cameras, games jewelry and stereo equipment were taken.

Harpers Farm Road: 5800 block, Harper's Choice. A gray 1993 Toyota truck with Maryland tags was stolen between 6 p.m. Thursday and 3 p.m. Friday.

Sterrett Place: 5500 block, Town Center. A gray 1998 Toyota Camry with Maryland tags was reported stolen between 6:45 and 9:15 p.m. Thursday.

Ellicott City/Elkridge

Buckskin Wood Drive: 4200 block, Ellicott City. A firefighter was taken to Howard County General Hospital with a wrist injury suffered at the scene of a fire at a single-family home Jan. 29. The fire caused $120,000 in damage. Two other firefighters were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Huntshire Drive: 6500 block, Elkridge. When officers responded to an alarm Friday at a High's Store, they found that the store's front door had been smashed. Cigarette cartons were on the floor, and the cash drawer was missing from the register. Officers later arrested two young men.

Old Waterloo Road: 6800 block, Elkridge. Someone saw a nude man fondling himself outside a residence. When the person spotted the man, he stepped into shadows but continued his activity. Officers obtained a suspect's name from a checkbook left on the windowsill.

Western Howard

Ten Oaks Road: 4500 block, Dayton. Someone ransacked a vehicle parked inside a garage Monday and took money from it.
