Senior guard Sharron Francis scored a season-high 15 points and had five assists to lead No. 21 Old Dominion to a 66-27 rout of Towson yesterday at the Towson Center.

The victory was the eighth straight for the Lady Monarchs (14-5, 11-0) and the 130th win in their past 131 Colonial Athletic Association games.

The Tigers' school-record losing streak was extended to 16.

Francis, who made six of 10 shots from the field and three of six three-point field-goal attempts, was one of three Lady Monarchs to score in double figures. Senior Lucienne Berthieu added 14 points and eight rebounds, and senior Hamchetou Maiga scored 10 points and grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds.

Kelli Talbot led the Tigers (1-19, 0-11) in scoring with 11 points. She also had a team-high seven rebounds, matching a career high.

The 27-point output was the second-lowest single-game total in Towson history.

Catholic 90, Villa Julie 53: Lorrie Budd had game highs of 17 points and 11 rebounds as the Mustangs (2-17) fell to the Cardinals (12-9) in a nonconference matchup.
