Chamber to sponsor `before business' networking event

The Howard County Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a "Business before Business" networking event at 7:30 a.m. Thursday at Historic Oakland, 5430 Vantage Point Road, Columbia.

Participants will have an opportunity to give a presentation about their businesses. Registration and networking will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. Presentations will start at 8 a.m.

The cost is $15 for members; $20 for future members. Registration is required.

A "Business after Business" networking event is planned from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 26 at Somerford Place assisted-living facility, 8220 Snowden River Parkway, Columbia. The cost is $10 for members; $20 for future members.

Psychotherapist to give talk on conflict resolution

Entrepreneur's Exchange will sponsor a talk by psychotherapist Kathy Miller, "Conflict Resolution in the Small Business," at a luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at Northwoods restaurant, 609 Melvin Ave., Annapolis. The cost is $25 for nonmembers.

The nonprofit organization provides education marketing exposure and support to small-business owners and individuals.

Business Exchange sets mixer for Thursday

The Columbia Business Exchange will hold a Business Mixer from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at That's Amore restaurant, 10400 Little Patuxent Parkway, Columbia.

The cost is $20 for members; $25 for others. Food and beverages are included.
