What You Said

January 30, 2002

In commemorating Dr. Martin Luther King's birthday last week, we asked how many years of peaceful protest passed before segregation ended in the South?

Raven Holly of Woodmoor Elementary gave us the correct answer: 10 years. Thanks!

And to our question about where Dish and Spoon were finally found, we commend Jasmine Ward and her second-grade classmates in Ms. Holsey's class at Collington Square Elementary School for telling us that cow, cat and dog found their friends at the beanstalk.

Teachers: Check www.nie-sun.com tomorrow for stance questions related to Just for Kids stories.
