January 29, 2002|BY A SUN STAFF WRITER

A motorcyclist died about 2:30 p.m. yesterday after he crashed through a fence off a curve in the 10000 block of Gorman Road in North Laurel, Howard County police said.

Police said they believe the man failed to navigate a sharp bend in the road. The motorcycle went through the fence and landed in a field.

The man, who police said did not reside in Howard County, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim's name had not been released as of last night because his family had not been notified, police said.
