Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southwestern District

Arrest: Darryl Anthony Prater, 25, of the 2100 block of Poplar Grove St., charged in a warrant with attempted murder in the shooting of another man in the 2900 block of Presbury St. on Dec. 29, was arrested yesterday in a Charlotte, N.C., motel by members of the Baltimore Regional Warrant Apprehension Task Force. Prater was held in Charlotte pending an extradition hearing.

Northwestern District

Arrest: Police arrested Andre Dean Vince, 19, of the first block of Stockmill Road near Randallstown yesterday on a warrant charging him with attempted murder in the shooting of Douglas Hall in the 4000 block of Alto Road on Jan. 15. Vince was arrested in the 4000 block of Bateman Ave. and was held at Central Booking and Intake Center pending a bail hearing.

Northeastern District

Robbery: After a man entered a vacant house in the 5400 block of Moores Run Drive about 3 p.m. Saturday with a woman he picked up a few blocks away, a second man armed with a handgun appeared and robbed the man of an undisclosed sum of money. The gunman and the woman drove off in the victim's 2000 GMC van, tags unknown.

Robbery: A man, 19, was walking in the 4400 block of Belair Road about 2 a.m. Sunday when a gunman robbed him of $60.

Burglary: More than $1,000 was stolen during the weekend from the bedroom of a house in the 3400 block of Harwell Ave.

Eastern District

Robbery: A man, 57, was selling newspapers in the 1300 block of Aisquith St. about 10 a.m. Sunday when two men, one with a handgun, robbed him of $50.

Northern District

Burglary: A television, DVD player and an electric guitar - all valued at about $10,000 - were stolen Sunday from a house in the 800 block of Gorsuch Ave.

Southern District

Theft from vehicle: A laptop computer valued at more than $3,000 was stolen Sunday from a 1992 Jaguar parked in the 400 block of Camden St.

Baltimore County

Woodlawn Precinct

Robbery try: A woman, 54, had left Pop Shop Mart in the 1000 block of Ingleside Ave. about 7 p.m. Saturday and was walking near the store when she was assaulted by a man who tried to steal her purse. The woman kicked the man in the groin, causing him to flee empty-handed.

North Point Precinct

Theft: Someone stole a girl's cellular phone valued at $230 after she left it unattended on a bench Sunday at Skateland in the 1100 block of North Point Road.

Theft/arrest: A man, 20, was arrested Sunday when he attempted to leave Sears at Eastpoint Mall without paying for tools valued at $230.

Towson Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered Towson Washmobile in the 900 block of York Road overnight Saturday and stole a credit card machine, cash and coins from at least one vending machine.
