Long & Foster reports record $18.5 billion in sales

Long & Foster Real Estate Inc. reported record sales last year of $18.5 billion on 89,624 properties, up 19 percent from 2000.

The company's top five offices last year were Bethesda Gateway in Montgomery County; McLean, Va.; Burke/Fairfax Station/Clifton office in Virginia; Fair Oaks, Va.; and Friendship Heights in Washington. In the Baltimore region, Long & Foster's top offices were Annapolis, Timonium, Howard County at Waverly Woods, Columbia and Ellicott City.

The company's other units - Prosperity Mortgage, Mid-States Title and Long & Foster Insurance - also reported record sales last year, adding $6.7 billion to bring the Long & Foster Companies total revenue to $25.2 billion.

On the move

O'Conor, Piper & Flynn ERAsaid that Katy Harrold has been named manager of the Bel Air Forest Hill office. Harrold began her real estate career as a sales associate with the OPF's Hunt Valley office. The Carney resident attended Towson State University and Chesapeake College.

Long & Foster Real Estate Inc. announced that David Zink has been named manager of its Phoenix Office. Zink earned his real estate license in 1978 and his broker's license in 1984.
