METS: Acquired OF Jeromy Burnitz, OF Mark Sweeney, OF Ross Gload, IF Lou Collier, P Jeff D'Amico and P Craig House from Brewers as part of three-team trade also involving Rockies. Signed former Orioles OF Tony Tarasco to minor-league contract; invited him to major-league camp.

ROCKIES: Acquired former Orioles 1B-3B Todd Zeile, OF Benny Agbayani and cash considerations from Mets as part of three-team trade also involving Brewers.

WHITE SOX: Named Nick Capra manager of Triple-A Charlotte.


CAVALIERS: Placed F Lamond Murray on injured list with broken nose. Activated G Trajan Langdon.
