Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Northern District

Shooting: Rakeem Hasson Busby, 22, was listed in good condition yesterday at Johns Hopkins Hospital after he was shot once in the chest and once in a leg about 11:30 p.m. Saturday as he left his home in the 600 block of Tunbridge Road. Police said that no arrest had been made and that a motive was unknown.

Southern District

Assault: Police were seeking a man who struck his girlfriend on the head with a hammer during an argument in their home in the 1200 block of W. Cross St. early yesterday. The woman was admitted to Maryland Shock Trauma Center in serious condition and a warrant was to be issued for the man's arrest charging him with attempted murder and possession of a deadly weapon.

Burglary: Several pieces of clothing, $200 in quarters and five DVD movies were stolen during the weekend from a house in the 1600 block of Covington St. by someone who entered through a rear door. The loss was estimated at nearly $1,600.

Southwestern District

Robbery: A man robbed a 7-Eleven store in the 500 block of Swann Ave. of $50 about 2 a.m. Saturday after giving an employee a note demanding money.

Central District

Theft from vehicle: A laptop computer of unknown value was stolen during the weekend from a vehicle parked in the first block of S. Howard St.

Eastern District

Assault: Police were seeking a 24-year-old woman who attempted to mutilate her 21-year-old boyfriend with a knife when she found him and another woman in the bedroom of his home in the 1000 block of Aisquith St. early Friday. The man suffered a minor laceration on the upper leg and refused medical treatment. The knife was recovered at the scene.

Robbery: A woman, 30, was walking in the 1900 block of E. Chase St. about 7 a.m. Saturday when a man stole her purse containing cash and property - all of unknown value.

Southeastern District

Robbery/cutting: A man, 20, was walking in the 300 block of Herring Court about 8 p.m. Saturday when two male teen-agers, one armed with a handgun and the other a knife, robbed him of $20. During the robbery, the victim was cut on the left side. He was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Burglary: Several pieces of sound equipment, a pool table, cash and a telephone - all valued at more than $10,000 - were stolen during the weekend from Club Plush in the 500 block of S. Haven St.

Baltimore County

North Point Precinct

Robbery/shooting: A man, 42, was standing at Eastdale Road and 52nd Street about 7 p.m. Saturday when a gunman robbed him of a cellular phone, money and a small television set he was carrying. Before the gunman fled, he fired one shot that struck the victim in the right leg. He was treated at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.
