Junior guard Dan Burruss tied his career-high with 14 points to lead the Johns Hopkins men's basketball team to a 72-58 win over Oneonta State at the Monterey Bay Classic in California.

The Blue Jays (5-5) will resume tournament play at 4 p.m. today against Bethany (Calif.).

Burress was 4-for-7 on three-pointers and was joined in double figures by junior forward Steve Adams and senior forward Matthew Eisley, who each scored 13 points.

The Red Dragons (4-5) led 35-33 at halftime, but Hopkins went on an 18-2 run to take a 51-40 lead with 12 minutes left.

Kurt Troyer led Oneonta with a game-high 22 points.

Clark 113, Frostburg State 71: Trevor Walker scored 20 to lead five Cougars in double figures, and No. 19 Clark (8-2) shot 64.5 percent from the field en route to a win over the Bobcats (5-5) in the opening game of the 2002 Franklin & Marshall Lancaster Rotary Tip-Off in Lancaster, Pa.

The Bobcats, who got a game-high 21 points and eight rebounds from junior Pierre Bowery, play Lincoln at 6 p.m. today in the consolation game.
