Two-vehicle collision leaves 1 man dead, 1 in serious condition

JOPPA -- A Harford County man was killed yesterday in a head-on collision on Route 152, state police said.

Jeffrey Earl Ensor, 21, of the 1300 block of Heaps Road in Street was driving south about 5:30 a.m. near Franklintown Road when his Dodge Shadow collided with a northbound Ford pickup truck that crossed the center line, police said.

FOR THE RECORD - An article in yesterday's Maryland section transposed the ages and addresses of two men involved Sunday in a head-on accident on Route 152 in Harford County. Jeffrey Earl Ensor, who was killed in the accident, was 33 and lived in the 1700 block of Boggs Road, Forest Hill. Alfred Caswell III, who was injured, is 21 and resides in the 1300 block of Heaps Road, Street. The Sun regrets the error.

Man dies of injuries suffered in crash Saturday

ADAMSTOWN -- A Frederick County man died yesterday from injuries he suffered when his car hit a tree along Mountville Road on Saturday night, the county sheriff's office said.

John William Abrell, 65, of the 2200 block of Pleasant View Road in Adamstown was driving his Ford Taurus on Mountville Road minutes before midnight when he apparently failed to turn and drove off the road, the sheriff's office said.

Abrell died at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
