Northrop names Pitts, Snodgrass vice presidents

Northrop Grumman Corp. named James F. Pitts vice president and general manager, aerospace systems division, and D. Wayne Snodgrass vice president, engineering and manufacturing, at the company's Electronics Systems Sector in Linthicum.

Pitts, a 28-year employee, has held several positions at the company and was vice president of engineering and manufacturing before his promotion. He holds undergraduate and graduate engineering degrees from The Johns Hopkins University.

Pitts attended the Executive Forum at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France, in 1995 and the Advanced Management Program at Harvard in 1996. He holds three patents on electronic warfare techniques and developments.

Snodgrass was most recently vice president in charge of Norden Systems in Norwalk, Conn. Before that, he worked in the company's Naval Systems Division. He previously was with Gould Inc. and McDonnell Douglas. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech and has taken graduate studies at University of California, Los Angeles, and University of Southern California.

Miller is marketing chief for Live Baltimore

Live Baltimore Marketing Center named Erin Miller director of marketing. Formerly associate director of education with the National Association of Interior Designers, the College of William and Mary graduate is pursuing a master's degree at The Johns Hopkins University.

Tufts-Prothro is promoted to assistant VP at Starkey

Starkey, Beall & Co. elected Rosanne E. Tufts-Prothro assistant vice president of the Towson-based compensation consulting and human resources management firm.

She is engaged in design, implemention and maintenance of client compensation and human resources programs. A graduate of Goucher College, she also holds a master's degree from the Peabody Institute.

Dickler managing director at American Express Tax

American Express Tax and Business Services Inc. named Marc S. Dickler a managing director, serving mid-Atlantic auto dealer clients.

A Pikesville resident, the Rider University graduate is a certified public accountant and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants.
