Two 20-year-old men pleaded innocent yesterday in Baltimore Circuit Court to charges of carjacking and killing an unlicensed cabdriver in August.

Javes Hall of the 1500 block of E. Eager St. and Jason N. Lewis of the 3600 block of Garrison Blvd. are charged with first-degree murder, handgun offenses, robbery and carjacking.

Kajali Samateh, 40, was found dead Aug. 23 in Clifton Park. The killing is one of three similar carjackings and killings investigators say they believe Hall committed during a two-week period. Detectives and prosecutors have ascribed the killing spree to a desire to ride around in nice cars.

The men's trial is set for March.
