Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Northeastern District

Assault/robbery: A man, 40, had placed a $20 bill on the counter to purchase beer at a store in the 3400 block of Belair Road about 8:30 p.m. Monday when another man grabbed the cash. During a struggle for the money, the victim was knocked to the floor and struck and kicked by the thief and an accomplice. The two assailants fled with the victim's money and a watch. The victim was treated at Good Samaritan Hospital for an eye injury.

Stabbing: A 32-year-old man was walking in the 2500 block of Harford Road on Monday night when he was stopped by another man who inquired about a woman known to each of them. After answering the question, the 32-year-old was stabbed in the upper right arm. The assailant fled, and the victim drove himself to Union Memorial Hospital, where he was treated.

Eastern District

Robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a man, 49, of an undisclosed sum of money in the 600 block of Forrest St. about 3 a.m. Monday.

Carjacking: Two men forced a 51-year-old man out of his 1999 Nissan Sentra in the 2000 block of E. Federal St. at gunpoint about 7 p.m. Monday and took the car with tags JPL 912.

Assault: A 51-year-old man was sitting on the front steps of his house in the 1700 block of Darley Ave. about 5 p.m. Monday when another man struck him over the head.

Northwestern District

Burglary: Two leather jackets, tools and video games -- all valued at $1,460 -- were stolen Monday from a house in the 2500 block of Gatehouse Drive.

Stolen vehicle: A 1988 Chevrolet with tags JHD 710 was stolen Monday in the 4500 block of Wakefield Road.

Stolen vehicle: A 1999 Nissan pickup truck with tags M423078 was stolen Monday in the 3700 block of Gwynns Falls Parkway.

Northern District

Theft: After a man helped a woman carry shopping bags into her house in the 700 block of Exeter Hall Ave. on Monday, he stole her PlayStation video game machine and several games -- all valued at $350 -- and left.

Burglary: A laptop computer and videocassette recorder were stolen Monday from a house in the 2900 block of St. Paul St. The loss was estimated at $1,530.

Baltimore County

Garrison Precinct

Bank robbery: An apparently unarmed man robbed Provident Bank of Maryland in the 3600 block of Old Court Road of an undisclosed sum of money about 9:40 a.m. Monday.

Burglary: Three water heaters were stolen during the weekend from a house under construction in the 3500 block of Butler Road in Glyndon.

Burglary: A safe containing more than $400 and several business documents was stolen during the weekend from a house in the 200 block of Parkholme Circle in Reisterstown.

Cockeysville Precinct

Robbery: After an employee opened a rear door in response to a buzzer, two men forced their way into Applebee's Neighborhood Grill in the 2400 block of Broad Ave. in Cockeysville about 8 a.m. Monday. The employee told police he was ordered into an office where the men -- one of them implying he was armed -- removed an undisclosed sum of money from a safe. They also removed tape from a security camera.

Robbery: A man armed with a rifle or shotgun entered the lobby of Marriott's Hunt Valley Inn in the 200 block of Shawan Road about 3:30 p.m. Monday and forced a clerk to give him an undisclosed sum from a cash drawer.

Woodlawn Precinct

Burglary: A compact disc player valued at $200 was stolen Monday from a locker at Public Storage in the 9200 block of Liberty Road.
